This deck simply follows the principle of Recycle, Reuse and Reduce!
Recycle - Get back cards from the grave quickly
Reuse - To abuse the cards that are obtained back from the grave
Reduce - Reduce opponents LP and hand i guess!
Strengths:
1) Fast Synchro. Ability to synchro quickly, with aid from the 7 tuners, mind/brain control, scapegoat, gardestrike etc. Synchro is a must for this deck.
2) Easily load up grave fast enough for combos with cards such as the lightlords, charge of the light brigade, card trooper.
3) Good Synergy with graveyard. Reijigra, call of haunted, limit reverse, gatmuz urgent orders, and of course the main 'hand discarding' combo for the deck.
4) Right amount of destructioon cards like ryko, lyla, heavy storm, saber slash etc
Weaknesses:
1) Only can normal summon 1 monster per turn problem. Sometimes you can set up the 'discard entire hand' combo but limited by the fact that you only can normal summon once per turn. You also need 2 X-sabers on the field for faultroll. Thus, Gardestrike usually solves the problem due to his special summon ability. One for One also works wonders, special summoning reijigra and getting back a X-saber from your grave.
2) Reliance on graveyard. once your opponent stops your graveyard with dimension fissure etc...thats not really much you can do...it will then depend on how lucky you are to draw that saber slash/heavy storm or how u manage to setup your field...
Combos/fun facts:
1) For those who are VERY outdated...the main and infamous combo! 'discard entire hand'. Basically this can work in many scenarios. It can work on your first turn too. What you need: 2 XX-saber faultroll and 1 XX-saber Reijigra!
Example of first turn combo:
1. Activate One for One, discarding faultroll to special summon reijigra, thus returning the faultroll to hand
2. summon X-saber airbellum/XX-saber fulhelmknight
3. special summon 2 faultrolls from your hand
4. synchro XX-saber faultroll and X-saber airbellum/XX-saber fulhelmknight for XX-Saber Gatmuz
5. Activate Gatmuz's effect, tributing XX_saber Reijigra to discard one card from your opponent's hand
6. Activate faultroll's effect, special summoning reijigra from grave!
7. Reijigra will then grab the other faultroll in your grave back to your hand!
8. Special summon the other faultroll to the field
9. Tribute the other faultroll who has already used up its effect and reijigra to discard 2 cards!
10. Repeat process by using faultroll's reviving effect again!
11. Carry on till your opponent no card left in hand! Plus you have a full field and some cards left in your hand!
2) you can simply summon rescue cat, send it to grave to summon out 2 airbellums, then spam faultroll rape!
3) scapegoat, card trooper are all earth types! that means.....Natural family!!! Yes im toking about Natural Beast, natural Balkion and Natural Landols! Fun stuff!
How to summon Beast: passiul + scapegoat tokens/card trooper
How to summon Balkion: Airbellum/Fulhelmknight + card trooper/scapegoat tokens
How to summon Landols: passiul + Gardestrike or Airbellum/Fulhelmknight + scapegoat tokens!
imagine special summoning Gardestrike, normal summon card trooper, dump 3 to raise attack to 1900, activate gatmuz urgent orders, revive passiul and airbellum, rape opponent by attacking with everything, then main phase 2 synchro out Natural balkion and natural landols! or synchro out stardust and natural beast! or u can revive 2 passiul to synchro out landols and beast! im jus sayin...
Although first turn combo might not work that often, the hand discarding combo will usually work in mid-game, as a result of quickly dumping the required materials into the grave and with the help of tons of recycling card effects, allowing you to easily pull off the combo. It is quite to spam the field by turn 2 or turn 3, so...well it kinda depends on luck i guess. but then again, what isnt dependent on luck?
Card Review:
XX-Saber Faultroll
The somewhat 'most' important and abusive monster in the deck. Reviving ability is just gay and awesome. 2400 ATK can kill a lot of monsters and since its level 6, easy synchro with level 3 Fulhelmknight or Airbellum for Gatmuz, or synchro with level 2 Passiul for level 8 synchros! Usually the main target for Reijigra's effect, returning him to hand, then either summon him to swarm the field, or pull off the mighty hand discard combo!
XX-Saber Gardestrike
Somewhat similar to Cyber dragon...5 stars, easy synchro for level 8 monsters. Ryko and friends help dump X-sabers into the grave for this baby to be summoned! Important card due to its special summoning ability, thus u can then summon another X-saber, then summoning Faultroll from hand.
Giant Rat
Nothing much, simply to search out rescue cat, or any other X-sabers u need at the moment
Rescue Cat
Summons out airbellum and ryko for synchroing, or u can also summon 2 airbellums, then special summon faultroll, then continue with the gay abuse etc
XX-Saber Fulhelmknight
level 3 tuner! once again for synchroing purposes. The good thing is its negating effect. To be able to negate an attack means survival and it being alive means that u can summon another X-saber next turn then carry on with faultroll rape!
X-Saber Passiul
now passiul is a good card here. level 2 tuner tunes with faultroll for level 8 synchros and tunes with Gardestrike for level 7 synchros. With this card, you can tune out the any of the Natural family! Good thing that scapegoat tokens are earth type! its stalling effect is also good, another setup for faultroll!
Card Trooper/Ryko/Lyla/Charge of Light Brigade
All hav dumping purposes. Dump dump dump, load graves with X-sabers, rape with discard hand combo, or rape even more with the powerful Gatmuz urgent orders! Speaking of Gatmuz urgent orders, u can even revive your opponent's X-sabers! u can also activate gatmuz urgent orders if your opponent controls an X-saber or more. U can also revive 1 X-saber from your grave and another from your opponent's
Saber Slash/Heavy Storm
Cards to help get rid of irritating stuff. kill off that stupid dimension fissure or oppression! monsters will too high attack? rape them with saber slash!
Saber Hole
Free 'Solemn'. enough said.
Limit Reverse/Call of the haunted
Limit reverse and call of the haunted help speed up the deck, bringing out ur 1st X-saber monster for u to summon another then bring out faultroll. They both help re-abuse rescue cat and my favourite, card trooper! summon card trooper, dump 3, opponent destroy it, u draw 1, activate limit reverse/COTH, dump another 3 and when its destroyed u draw 1 again! good way to dump quickly . Limit reverse and COTH also can revive reijigra, allowing u to hav a +1. Or u can also revive Passiul for synchro purposes etc.
Some of you might be wondering why i dont choose to play XX-saber Galsem. Main reason is cause its effect is hard to pull off. If its effect activates if its destroyed by battle, then obviously it will be broken, being able to search out even faultroll! But too bad it has to be destroyed by a card effect.
On the other hand, i cant wait for the upcoming XX-saber Emmersblade. If its destroyed by battle, u can special summon a level 4 of below X-saber monster. Good cos it will always allow u to hav an X-saber on the field, for the setup to summon faultroll. Also, special summon reijigra and u get a +1. Best part of it, finally its a level 3 NON TUNER. yes! Hyunlay! Hyunlay no doubt is a powerful card, but due to the lack of good level 4 and below non tuner X-saber cards, it doenst see much play. but with the release of emmersblade, synchro emmersblade and fulhelmknight/airbellum for hyunlay and blow away cards for free!
Finally, i conclude this review of X-sabers! Will update on X-sabers again once emmersblade is out! Really hope more X-saber supports will be released! Feel free to help me edit and provide more insight on X-sabers in the tagboard! =)
