YGO ANCIENT PROPHECY CARD REVIEWS

hey guys gonna do some reviews on cards from the set!

ok lets begin!

Black Feather Vayu of the big flag
Dark/lv1/winged beast/tuner attack 800 def 0
While this card is face-up on the field, this card cannot be used as Synchro Material. If this card is in your Graveyard, you can remove from play this card and a "Blackwing" non-Tuner monster in your Graveyard, and Special Summon 1 "Blackwing " Synchro Monster with an identical Level from your Extra Deck. The effect(s) of the Special Summoned monster by this effect is negated.


dont really nid much explanation here...synchro from grave, burial from DD it, synchro again...realli good card can seriously help with OTK...however one bad thing is currently in the game theres only 2 BF synchros...1 is lv6 another is lv 7...but still if u guys hav seen dian zhang's video, it is realli good. imagine u already synchroed 2 times by using vayu's effect, then u activate burial from DD, return 3 cards which in this case would be either 2 vayus 1 bf or 2 bf 1 vayu to ur grave...then synchro again...zzz its also CCV-able...its also a super rare...no complains

Black Feather Foehn the iron chain

This card can attack your opponent directly. When this card inflicts Battle Damage to your opponent by attacking directly, switch 1 face-up monster your opponent controls to Defense Position.


dont tink this card would see much play however there is some potential in it...maybe some crazy guy would jus spam ultimate offering and use sirocco's effect to pump attack to this guy! lol! its ability to change a monster's position is also rather good at times...also CCV-able

Jester Lord
dark/lv1/spellcaster/attack 0 def 0
If this is the only monster on the field, this card gains 1000 ATK for every Spell and Trap Card on the field.


wont see much of this...most likely used in fun decks! imagine some crazy anti meta deck. Set 5 S/T. summon this. 5k attack! no joke...


Jester confit

dark/lv1/spellcaster/ attack 0 def 0
This card can be Special Summoned from your hand to your side of the field in face-up Attack Position. If you Summon this card this way, you can return this card and 1 monster your opponent controls to the owner's hand during the End Phase of your opponent's next turn. Only 1 "Jester Confit" can be face-up on the field.


wow. free monarch tribute fodder. special summon for free=good. CCV-able...

Infernity Beast

While you have no cards in your hand, this card gains the following effect: ● When this card attacks, your opponent cannot activate Spell or Trap Cards until the end of the Damage Step.


i guess everyone noes the reason. Beast. Level 3. Dark. beast synchro anyone?

Darksea rescue

When this card is sent to the Graveyard for the Synchro Summon of a Synchro Monster, draw 1 card from your Deck.


wont see much play however its effect is decent. synchro le draw one card. seems ok to me...CCV-able too

When this card on the field is destroyed by a card effect and sent to the Graveyard, draw 1 card.


Hope someone finds some crazy combo with this card. destroyed by effect draw one card? CCV-able...hmm......

One shot rocket
wind/lv2/machine/tuner/ attack 0 def 0
If this card attacks, it is not destroyed by battle. After damage calculation, inflict damage to your opponent equal to half the attack of the target monster's ATK.


card needed to summon one shot canon...effect is qutie good too. but can it be competitive? maybe...

oh btw im gonna skip all the core chimails cos i feel that they are getting too much support...seriously...its bull****


Black shining G

earth/lv1/insect/ attack 200 def 500
When 1 Synchro Monsters is Special Summoned to your opponent's side of the field, activate by removing from play this card in your Graveyard. Destroy that 1 Synchro Monster


normal rare card. effect is OK...dun tink it will be of much play though...

Fishborg Gunner
water/lv1/fish/tuner/ attack 100 def 200
If you control a face-up level 3 or lower WATER monster, discard 1 card. Special Summon this card from your Graveyard. If this card is used Synchro Material Monster, the other Synchro Material Monsters must all be WATER monsters.


this card is good imo. u guys noe absolute synchron? summon diva synchro, SS another from deck, discard malicious/dasher/zombie carrier to grave from hand and SS this card from grave and synchro synchro synchro, finally miracle fusion and here comes big daddy of the ice! absolute zero! well however, it seems to work in theory but in game play...nvm gonna try it out soon =D

Armored psychiker
earth/lv6/psychic/ attack 2200 def 1800
If you control a face-up Psychic-Type monster, you can Normal Summon this card without Tributes. If this card destroys a monster by battle, take damage equal to half the ATK of the destroyed monster. Also, you can Special Summon 1 monster from your Graveyard with an ATK equal to or lower than the damage you took.


dont tink psychic decks would be competitive however this card is GOOD. combo it with 'Brain exploitation research lab'. the special summoning psychic monster effect is quite good too...no complains!


Magicat

light/lv2/spellcaster/attack 600 def 500
If this card is used in the Synchro Summon of a Spellcaster-Type monster and sent to the Graveyard, you can return 1 Spell Card from your Graveyard to the top of your Deck.


return magic card to top of deck? IMBA! seriously i tink tat this card has lots of potential...but so far theres only 1 good spellcaster synchro which is arcantite...so the non tuner has to be a lv 5...still this card is strong. VERY strong

Minefield
earth/lv4/machine/ attack 1500 def 1000
When this face-up card is removed from the field, you can add 1 Field Spell Card from your Graveyard to your Hand.


well...OK card imo...helps with decks tat play lots of field cards...

XX-Saber Faultroll
earth/lv6/warrior/ attack 2004 def 1800
This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summon except you control 2 or more face-up "X-Saber" monsters. Once per turn, you can Special Summon 1 "X-Saber" monster from your Graveyard.


quite a good card for X sabers! reminds us of grandmaster? its SS effect is rather gay. can reborn any thing u like airbellum or even the next XXsaber card below! well the usual cat stuff: rescue cat> 2 airbellum> SS this card from hand? good card for X sabers overall

XX-Saber Reijigra
earth/lv1/Beast-warrior/ attack 200 def 1000
When this card is Normal Summoned or Special Summoned, you can add 1 "X-Saber" monster from your Graveyard to your hand.


another X saber support card! also another good card. u can use this card to either reuse airbellum, faultroll or any other xsaber...get back faultroll and then SS faultroll if u hav 2 xsabers on field? or u can SS faultroll, use faultroll's effect to SS reijigra then return another xsaber monster to ur hand...wadeva haha. well as u can see now Xsabers hav good support however would they see lots of play? no one noes lol...SABER SLASH!!!!!

Ancient fairy dragon
light/lv7/dragon/synchro/ attack 2100 def 3000
1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters
Once per turn, you can Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower monster from your hand. If you activated this effect, you cannot enter your Battle Phase this turn. Once per turn, you can destroy a Field Spell Card to gain 1000 Life Points, then add 1 Field Spell Card from your Deck to your hand.


haha no reason not to be here! another 5D card! SS lv 4 or lesser from hand is good although u skip ur battle phase...nvm its still good. the second effect is rather interesting. 1 card. Gear town. hope tat knocks some ideas into ur brain

"one shot booster" + 1 non-Tuner monster
Once per turn, destroy 1 face-up monster on the field, and inflict damage equal to half the monster's ATK.


good effect. destroy opponent monster for free and get to do damage? however its summoning requirements are rather.....


Undead Skull daemon

dark/lv6/undead/synchro/ attack 2500 def 1200
"Plaguespreader Zombie" + 2 or more non-Tuner Zombie-Type monsters.
All face-up Zombie-Type monsters you control cannot be destroyed by card effects.


good card imo. if only this card was released earlier b4 the banlist! good effect, protect ur undeads from effects...BUT look at its summoning requirements......zombie carrier and 2 other undead???? NOOOOO!!!! and its lv 6....zzzzzzzzz damn hell

Ancient holy wyvern
light/lv7/angel/synchro/ attack 2100 def 2000
1 LIGHT Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters
If your Life Points are higher than your opponent's, this card gains ATK equal to the difference. If your Life Points are lower than your opponent's, this card loses ATK equal to the difference. When this card is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard, you can pay 1000 Life Points to Special Summon it.


this card without doubt is GOOD. attack can reach quite high depending on situations...helps to take out big monsters...and its reborning effect is good too...compare it with colossal fighter...hmm...its also a light and if u see its summoning requirements it requires a light tuner. so it shld be played in a light deck i guess? so honest would realli help here. i would say this card still has potential...notice its a angel type...haha weird tot it was a dragon

XX-saber gatoms
earth/lv9/beast-warrior/synchro/ attack 3100 def 2600
1 Tuner Monster + 1 or more EARTH non-Tuner monsters
Activate by Tributing 1 "X-Saber" monster you control. Your opponent discards 1 card randomly from their hand.


so-so card...quite hard to summon though...effect is erm......zzzz

Advanced draw
normal spell
Activate by Tributing 1 face-up Level 8 or higher monster you control. Draw 2 cards.


woah summon barboros. activate this card. draw 2? lol or use it on other useless lv 8...wadeva..

Ancient forest
field card
When this card is activated, if there are any Defense Position monster(s) on the field, that monster(s) is changed to face-up Attack Position. Flip Effects are not activated at this time. Also, if a monster attacks, it is destroyed at the end of the Battle Phase.


seems like a freaking irritating card to play with...all monsters attack le then gone? wtf zzz luckily theres ancient fairy dragon to take care of these irritating craps haha

Future vison
field card
When a monster is Normal Summoned, it is removed from play. The removed monster is returned to the field during it's owner's next Standby Phase.


GOOD card. irritating card too. im nt sure if this works but similar to Dhero Doomlord, it might be possible to activate burial from DD to return the monster to the grave and thus the monster cannot come back to the field....nt sure though. still a good card

Unity of family
continuous spell
If all of the monsters in your Graveyard are of only 1 Type, all face-up monsters you control of that Type gain 800 ATK.


SIAO this card is cool. seriously. Black feather. the original combo of mystic plasma zone anyone? hahas. the usual OTK. activate this card with ultimate offering. activate black whirlwind. summon any BF and hav it gain 800 attack and due to ultimate offering u can seriously search out every single BF in ur deck...zzz even without the combo, this card is good. seriously 800 attack bonus is not a small thing to deal with. imagine summoning a sirocco with 2.8k attack, gale with 2.1k attack and can halve opponent monster attack...then foehn with 1.3k and can direct attack...BF arms wing and wing master with 3.1k and 3.3k attack respectively.....still can use in other type decks...dragon...red eyes darkness metal 3.6k dark horus 3.8k....i dun tink i hav to say more...

Water Hazard
continuous spell
If you control no monsters, you can Special Summon 1 level 4 or lower WATER monster from your Hand. This effect can only be used once per turn.


good card. SS water monster for free? good. although theres diva synchron out there now...dun tink water decks are strong...

Brain exploitation research lab
field card
While this card is on the field, once per turn, you can Normal Summon 1 Psychic-Type monster in addition to your Normal Summon for the turn. When a Psychic-Type monster is Normal Summoned this way place 1 Psychic Counter on this card. Also, if you would pay Life Points in order to activate the effect of a Psychic-Type monster you control, you can remove 1 Psychic Counter from this card instead. When this card is removed from the field, its controller takes damage equal to the number of Psychic Counters that were on it ×1000


damn good card for psychic. once again psychic imo wont be a competitive deck but its still a damn good card! free extra normal summon = good. and its effect of giving those shitty tokens to ur psychics is quite goood too. no complains good card for psychic

Saber Slash
normal spell
Destroy a number of face-up cards on the field equal to the number of face-up "X-Saber" monsters you control.


1 word. WOW. good card. X-sabers...wonder if its even splashable in beast synchro...dun tink so though...but still a good card! if it could destroy both face up and face down....it would be godly hahas. use this card with the 2 XXsabers...good stuff =)


Sparkling sword
equip magic
equip only to a 'x-saber' monster. If the equipped monster destroy an opponent's monster by battle, destroy one card your opponent controls. Also, by releasing one monster, return this card from the graveyard to the top of the deck.


quite ok card bah...destroy free card and can be reused...so-so imo.

Pureflame eruption
normal spell
Special Summon as many FIRE monsters with 200 DEF from your Graveyard as possible. The monsters Special Summoned by this effect are removed from play during the end phase


good card for frembell....and erm maybe burn decks? -.- can combo with frembell helldog

Ancient leaf
normal spell
If your lifepoints are 9000 or higher, you can pay 2000 lifepoints to draw 2 cards.


haha! this card! dunoe how lucky would someone be to hav over 9000 lp in competitive duel. 9k lp or more pay 2k draw 2 cards! LOL!

Fossil examination
normal spell
Add 1 level 6 or lower Dinosaur-Type monster from your deck to your hand.


any card tat searches for cards from decks are considered good? lol but dinosaurs...fossil dino pachycephalo maybe? lol


Skill successor

normal trap
Increase the ATK of one monster on your side of the field by 400 points for this turn. Also, if this card exists in your Graveyard, you can remove this card from play to increase the ATK of a monster on your side of the Field by 800 points. (You can’t activate this effect the same turn this card was sent to the Graveyard).


quite ok card bah...not say very lousy...at times it might jus help out with the 800 bonus attack!

fairy winds
normal trap
Activate only when your opponent declares an attack. Destroy all face-up Spell and Traps on the field. Inflict 400 damage to each player for each one of their cards destroyed.


very good card. new card to kill anti meta decks? can be put in side decks...destroy tat irritating oppression or any other shit!

Discord
continuous trap
Neither player can Synchro Summon. Send this card to the Graveyard on the 3rd turn after the activation of this card.


no synchroing summoning for 3 turns. good card to stall...quite ok imo

Damage translation
normal trap
Any effect damage inflicted this turn is halved. During the End Phase of this turn, Special Summon 1 "Ghost Token" (Fiend-Type/DARK/Level 1/ATK 0/DEF 0) in Defense Position for each effect that inflicted effect damage.


well...i dunoe if this card would see play...dun tink so...still it has a decent effect. if u fight demise bomber u might wanna use this! hahas.....get free tokens too...zzz

lol can direct attack worh! BUT its a trap -.- zzz if only its a magic then it can be of some good fast use...

Heterogenous Conflict

Activate if all monsters on the field are face-up. Both players send monsters from their respective sides of the field to the Graveyard until they are each controlling monsters of only 1 Type.


looks familiar? hey its another version of rivalry of warlords! except its nt continuous haha..

Divine Protection of the Ocean Dragon God

Until the End Phase of this turn, face-up level 4 or lower WATER monsters you control cannot be destroyed by battle or by card effects.


hmm not a bad card protects ur water monsters...the good thing to note is tat ur monsters cant be destroyed by card effects too! so erm the only way to kill the monsters is by erm........hmm....soul exchange? LOL

Frembell counter
counter trap
Activate by removing from play 1 FIRE monster with 200 DEF in your Graveyard. Negate the activation of a Spell or Trap card and destroy it.


again good card for frembell...its almost free...

stunning upset
normal trap
Activate by selecting 1 face-up Attack Position level 2 or lower monster you control. Return all face-up level 7 or higher monsters on the field that were Special Summoned to their respective hands.


zzz this card is very situational lol. im nt sure if u can return synchros as the card states return the mosnters to the HAND and synchrros cant be returned to the hand...if u see the picture dark armed dragon is being returned...quite stupid imo. reuturn dark armed or judgment to opponents hand, he jus summon again lor -.-

there tats the end of the review...quite a decent pack bah...only a few praticular cards tat are really useful. and im not gonna tok abt the core chimails...they are seriously getting hell lot of support...even with this new shitty counter trap tat is damn hell good and their own draw engine and not to mention...their own call of the haunted! mtfk!.......dun even wanna tok abt it...

oh btw BUYING BF vayu of the big flag! damn its super rare! hahas
